My Story

We live in a very fast paced world, faster than our human bodies are intended to live in. Most of us are barely surviving our home and work schedules—waking exhausted and propping ourselves up with caffeine to get through the day, barely slowing down to eat and then ending the day with a few glasses of wine to take the edge off, sleeping poorly, then waking to start the cycle again.

Without intentional planning for our physical and mental health, we live in a constant state of survival—anxious, depleted, reactive. Small changes in your routine, mindfulness to your nutrition and environment, as well as learning and integrating new tools for daily living begin to open up space for more joy, energy, and success in everyday life. It’s time to be the woman you want to be.

In my teens I experienced a tremendous amount of joint pain, muscle spasms and migraines. Traditional Western medicine doctors offered scary diagnoses (rheumatoid arthritis, brain tumors) and when testing was inconclusive, they offered no help. I went to see a holistic natural medicine doctor and one of the first questions he asked was “What are you eating?” Of course, being a teenager, my response was “Frozen pizzas and tater tots” LOL. His response was, “Stop eating that crap.” He coached me on changing my diet to include healthier, whole food options. In a short period of time, my previously unexplainable pain went away. That was my first “ah-ha” moment about how being mindful about nourishment and environment, in addition to supportive coaching, can be transformative.

I know the pain of being stuck in unhealthy patterns. Of living in a constant state of anxiety. Like most people, I developed coping strategies that served me well during a specific time of life, a crisis or hardship, and continued with those habits and behaviors even when that time was over. Those learned behaviors affected my relationships; preventing me from really connecting to others, my ability to feel joy, contentment, success—and my health.

The lightness, the freedom, the joy, and connection that I can experience now is life changing, and I want to help others achieve that as well. I am willing to do the work myself, in my personal life, because I believe that I can only take my clients as far as I am willing to go. If I limited my growth, then I would limit my client’s growth as well.

Coaching helps people move forward in areas where they were previously stuck. 95% of everything we do is out of habit. Our habits were often created years—if not decades ago—and may have been created during a time of high stress or trauma. Becoming aware of our outdated habits, emotional patterns, and limiting belief systems helps us to break free of those constraints, and transform them into empowered belief systems, intentional actions, and healthy habits.

I work closely with my clients to choose action steps that are designed to support them as they move toward goals, breaking out of comfort zones and discarding layers of outdated habits, until we start getting to the heart of what has them stuck in a state of survival. I believe that small hinges swing big doors—it’s the small steps, taken consistently, that have the biggest impact, helping us to love and respect ourselves, reach our goals, and live our best lives.

Through transformational coaching and cultivating a healthy gut-brain connection, I can help you let go of anxiety as a lifestyle so you can be the vibrant & joyful woman you were meant to be.
